Phil Doody – Vice President

Phil is a professional engineer with 15 years of upstream oil and gas experience, primarily in managerial positions within drilling, completions, and well interventions. He grew up in Cape Breton and served with the Canadian Armed Forces before earning his Petroleum Engineering degree from the University of Alberta. Before joining LearnCorp, he spent 11 years with an IOC, both domestically and internationally, where he was recognized as a leader, planner, innovator, and mentor within complex and culturally rich teams. Throughout his career, Phil has focused on mentoring and developing junior engineers, and he was eager to join LCI in 2024 to continue their proud history of delivering industry-leading training and personnel development initiatives. Phil is a proud Cape Bretoner and is thrilled to be raising his young family in the same community where he and his spouse grew up. His hobbies include hiking, camping, gardening, fishing, beachcombing, and exploring with his family.
